During the 182nd Graduation Ceremony, there were two students who graduated. The following are brief profiles of each student :
- Putro Arif Wicaksono, who completed his Master’s degree in Architecture at the Master of Architecture Program, Department of Architecture and Planning (DAFT), Diponegoro University, with a concentration in Design. The author has a close connection with low-income housing (MBR) environments. Having been involved in MBR housing projects for the past 10 years, he has developed a concern regarding the form of MBR houses, which almost always undergo significant transformations from their original design. As a result, he views the house as an architectural process that is never truly finished. For him, a house is an entity that is constantly being expanded, reduced, extended, and reconfigured by its occupants. From this perspective, his interest in housing has grown, and the concept of “patchwork architecture” has emerged as the most honest expression of the relationship between people, space, and limitations.
2. Arindy Givesa Amalia completed her Master’s degree in the Master of Architecture Program, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University, with a concentration in Design. She began her postgraduate studies in 2023 and completed them in 2026 within five semesters.
Her interest in architectural design encouraged her to develop a narrative-based design approach during her master’s studies. Her thesis adopts the concept of inception as a design thinking method in architecture, focusing on the creation of multidimensional spaces that integrate narrative, time, and user perception. The thesis is titled “Inception as a Method of Idea Implantation in the Construction of Multidimensional Space.”
Through this research, she explores how architecture can serve as a medium for embedding non-linear spatial experiences, resulting in spaces that are interpretative and immersive.
